Sunset of Furmankind, Blue Horizon, Blue Horizon: 1261, Hoenix, a few miscellaneous stories and the three tales written by our fans have all been transferred to the new Dennier archive site. There's still a month and a half until the domain for dennier.com expires, but with this site up and running, all new material will be displayed here instead of there. Welcome, my friends. Little by little, I'm making progress getting things set up at the new site. All of the previously completed Sunset of Furmankind chapters are online, as are all of the primary Blue Horizon stories. I still have Hoenix and Blue Horizon: 1261 left to do, as well as Jeff Karamales' Born of Heroes. Due to numerous requests that I establish an archive for my stories before my DENNIER.COM domain and my webhosting account both expire on October 1, I am in the process of relocating everything to a new site I have established with Weebly.Com. It’s a long and slow process (with a lot of cutting and pasting of text), but I’m making headway little by little. I am putting up the Sunset of Furmankind pages first, since that’s my current work-in-progress story, and then I will see what I can do about getting the Blue Horizon and Hoenix pages set up afterward as time permits. Since I am also in the process of writing the final chapters of Sunset, it may take me the full time until October to get the entire archive up and running. I already have the bulk of template pages in place, so most of what’s left is the actual placement of the text of numerous stories and chapters into them. In the time that’s left for DENNIER.COM, I will be placing redirect messages for those who might visit the domain between now and October who may not actually visit my blog or message board. It’s time for an announcement that I’ve been holding off on for a little while. Finances are tight for everyone these days, myself included, and with the renewal of my domain name and web hosting accounts coming up soon, I have decided to let them all expire. This not a sudden decision – I’ve had this in mind for a while. I’ve only recently become aware that the date of expiration will be coming quicker than I expected, so I’ve begun a countdown to October 1, 2011. That is when everything under the Dennier.Com domain will go offline permanently. The financial aspect is only one of several reasons I have decided to do this, but is the most prominent. The problem with this date, however, is that I am still seven chapters away from completing Sunset of Furmankind and it’s uncertain whether or not I will finish up before that day arrives. My primary contact address through Hotmail will be unaffected since it isn’t under my domain, so I can still be contacted in the same manner as I have in the past. I have no plans to archive the stories I have written online elsewhere, and there are no aspirations of creating a new site for my projects. I have appreciated all the kind words and friendships over the years associated with my projects, but due to Real Life events it is time to release my website back into the wild. October 1 is still a couple months away as I write this, and I intend to continue working on my story through to its end, so stay tuned to this location for further news or announcements in the meantime. |
